Considered Mexico's "Frontera," the Baja California peninsula provides a world of adventure travel. The allure of isolated beaches, remote Spanish missions, cacti forests and desolate backcountry two-tracks intrigue the mind's eye. Chris Collard's Baja experience began in the early 70's, prior to the completion of the paved highway. Today he continues to seek out Baja's road less traveled.

Adventure Architects joined Jeepers Jamboree in 1999 for a six-week off-road expedition across South America. From Lima Peru, the group traversed the Andes to Machu Picchu, the lost city of the Incas, skirted the blue waters of Lake Titicaca, crossed the highlands of Bolivia, and south to Argentina's Iguazu Falls. Incredible scenery, remote villages, breakdowns, extortionists and traveling in our own Jeeps, shipped down from the US, added to the Adventure.
